Trichogramma, as the name suggests, is a red-eyed bee with both single and compound eyes, a parasitic insect belonging to the family Trichogramma of the order Hymenoptera. It is a well-known and popular presence in hymenoptera, with more than 880 species known in the world and about 150 species recorded in China. The host range is very wide, and it can parasitise the eggs of more than 400 kinds of agricultural and forestry pests, such as pine caterpillar, small boat moth, fan moth, bamboo green worm, pine tip moth, etc. Trichogramma is one of the most widely used natural enemy insects with good control effect.
